Family Therapy and Parenting

Families come in all shapes and sizes, and every family faces challenges. At Blue Gum Psychology, we work with parents, couples, and families to strengthen communication, navigate conflict, and build healthier patterns of connection.

Our family therapist will take the time to understand your situation and collaboratively plan who to include in therapy and when. Family therapy doesn’t always require all family members to attend at the same time—sessions are tailored to your family’s needs.

People often seek family therapy or parenting support for a variety of reasons, including:

  • Managing conflict or communication difficulties within the family

  • Navigating parenting challenges or changes in family roles

  • Supporting children or adolescents with behavioural, emotional, or developmental difficulties

  • Coping with grief, loss, or major life transitions

  • Strengthening relationships and creating a more connected home environment

Family therapy is not about blame, it’s about understanding, healing, and creating a framework for moving forward together.
